I commonly say to people that I am a behaviourist first and a trainer second.
The reason I say this is because the majority of my experience and expertise is focused around rectifying problem behaviours in dogs. Now, don't get me wrong, there IS training involved in this, but it's a different type of training compared to agility or obedience training. Although, the ideas that underpin both are the same, they're applied differently.
